What is invest@uti?

Invest@uti is a service offered on www.utimf.com for investors of UTI Mutual Fund whereby they can Purchase, Redeem or Switch units of UTI Mutual Fund schemes online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. They can also view their portfolio, transaction summary and statement of account online.

Who can invest@uti?

Resident Indian Individuals, singly or jointly
HUFs
Parent/Lawful Guardian on behalf of Minor
Non-resident Indians and Person of Indian Origin residing Abroad, on a full repatriation basis

What are the facilities available on invest@uti?

  1. ULIP Renewal Contributions.
  2. Existing investor with PIN can do the following transactions online:
    Purchase
    Redemption
    Switch
    iSIP registration.
    View portfolio, Folio-wise summary, Account details, Transaction details, Asset class wise summary, Transaction status and Watchlist.
    View and download your statement of account online.

What are the precautions I need to take while transacting online?

PIN allotted to you/Generated, should not be shared with anyone as it is equivalent to your signature for online transactions and can be used for redeeming the proceeds of your investments.

What is the mode of payment if I wish to purchase online?

Currently, you can invest either using internet banking facility with one of the banks available or through debit card. Please refer to the list of banks available for internet banking and debit cards.

# The facility to invest online in these schemes is currently available to investors having internet banking facility with AXIS BANK, ICICI BANK, and STATE BANK OF INDIA.

What NAV is applicable for the transactions done on invest@uti?

Cut-off timings as per SEBI guidelines are applicable to invest@uti as the website itself (http://www.utimf.com/) is an Official Point of Acceptance. The NAV applicable will be as per the server time when the transaction is made.

Submission of PAN and KYC.

With effect from January 01, 2008, SEBI has made it mandatory to furnish PAN number and attested copy of PAN card of all the applicants. You need to submit the copy of PAN card of all the holders duly verified with the original or verified/attested by AMFI registered distributors, bank managers or judicial authorities.
Further, w.e.f 1st Jan. 2011. All the applicants are required to be KYC compliant irrespective of the investment amount.

Is there any charge for transacting online?

No. There is no charges payable by investor to UTI Mutual Fund for availing the facility of online transaction.

How to Register /Generate user id?

New investor :
If you are a first time investor, you need to invest in one of our schemes, by clicking on the NEW Investor. Fill up the required details and make the payment using internet payment gateway of your bank account. Once your payment is successfully made, transaction is completed. You will get transaction reference number on the screen, request you to make a note of it for future reference.

You will receive two emails in your given email ID. One email with the password which requires to be forced changed on first time login. Other email with the Transaction reference number along with prefilled PDF form to be downloaded and sent it to the following address duly signed by all the holders together with copy of PAN card/KYC acknowledgement of all holders.

Once your documents reaches at the above address, you will receive a statement of account in the mail ID provided by you. You can then generate online PIN.

Existing Online investor:
If you already hold the investment in UTI scheme, click on the EXISTING USERS >> LOGIN and enter your USER ID and Password to transact.

Existing Offline investor:
If you already hold the investment in UTI scheme in the offline mode and do not have user id & password to transact online, you will have to click on the EXISTING USERS >>GENERATE USER/PIN and enter Foilo no, click on validate. Then enter registered email id, PAN and bank details as per the folio.

System will validate all the details entered with the records, on successful validation, password would be sent to your email address and your registered email id will become your user id If email id and Pan details entered does not match with our records or does not exists in our records and you wish to update our records with new details then request you to follow the process on the screen, download the prefilled PDF and sent it to the following address duly signed by all the holders together with copy of PAN card/KYC acknowledgement of all holders.

What happens if I forget my User ID?

What happens if the User ID is locked?

User Id gets locked for security reasons if the password is entered wrong thrice. However, the User Id gets automatically unlocked.

How can I retrieve my password if I have forgotten one?

If you have forgotten your password click on the 'Forgot Password' link and enter your User ID [Email ID]. You will then be asked to enter the answer to the Hint Question that will enable us to validate your User Id and account. The Password will then be mailed to your registered Email Id.

I have multiple Folio numbers, how many times do I need to create User ID?

Creation of User ID is a onetime process. User id would be created using details of anyone folio. After creating User ID just associate all other folios where you are first holder.

How to generate/apply pin online ?

Once the new purchase is done and investor receives the SOA in the mail, investor can login to the account and click on “Generate PIN” next to the folio number under “MY Portfolio”.

You can generate PIN online by clicking on Manage account >> Online pin generation. Enter the requested data and click on Submit. You will receive password protected PDF with the PIN in your registered email id.

Incase of Joint Holders download the pin aggreement form and send it to the following address duly signed by all the holders together with copy of PAN card/KYC acknowledgement of all holders.

A new PIN will be generated and dispatched to the communication address registered with us through secure stationary within 7 business days from the date of receipt of the written request to our offices.

What happens if the PIN is locked?

For Joint Holdings, all the applicants needs to send a written request to regenerate your PIN. A new PIN will be generated and dispatched to the communication address registered with us through secure stationary within 7 business days from the date of receipt of the written request to our offices.

How to associate my folio to a User Id?

All you need for associating any folio to your User Id is the PIN of the first holder. Having associated more than one folio as above, you can change the PIN for all these folios/holders to a common PIN of your choice for ease of transacting.

Once your Folio number is associated with the User ID you can do the following transactions online:

You can do the commercial transactions such as purchases, redemptions, iSIP and switches in all the schemes under the various folios that have been associated.

Who all are required to sign the PIN agreement form?

All Unit Holders are required to sign the PIN Agreement Form, irrespective of the mode of holding.

Can I change my address, bank details and contact numbers on invest@uti?

At present such facilities are not offered on invest@uti. The investor will have to submit physical request for the same. However, in near future we plan to make such facilities available to the investors.

The Process to be followed by Investor to register for iSIP online:

New iSIP Investor: At present, the facility to register for iSIP online is only available for existing investors. The registration for STP/SWP is not available on invest@uti as of now and hence you need to send us a physical request to register for systematic transactions.

Existing Investor :
Existing Investor can start the iSIP within the existing folio.

  1. Click on “iSIP Registration” Option from the home page
  2. Enter PIN, select Folio, Scheme in which you wish to make SIP.
  3. Enter the iSIP registration form.
  4. Note the Unique Registration Number (URN) generated.
  5. Go to your bank’s website and Register UTI MF in the list of Billers using the URN.

Do I receive any acknowledgement for the transaction done on invest@uti?

A confirmation mail will be sent to your Email ID registered with us giving the details of the transaction.

The procedure to terminate online transaction agreement and disable the PIN.

If the Unit holder/s wishes to terminate this Agreement and disable the PIN, the Unit holder/s may terminate the PIN facility by making an application to UTIAMC / Registrar in writing and signed by her/him along with all the Joint Holders, if any. UTIAMC / Registrar shall disable the User ID and the PIN allotted to such Joint Unit holders, if any, at any time within a period of 10 business days from the date of receipt of the said Application.

UTIAMC is also authorized to terminate the PIN facility without prior notice on the occurrence of any event, which in the sole opinion of UTIAMC, may have a material or adverse impact on the Designated Account, or on the operations of the Schemes of UTIMF / UTIAMC / Registrar / Service Provider, including but not limited to:

Non-compliance of the Terms and Conditions set out herein. Death, insolvency, bankruptcy or liquidation of the Unitholder.

Any other cause arising out of operation of law.

Closing of Unitholder's account.

Such other reason(s) as UTIAMC may, in its sole and absolute discretion deem proper.
